European Blackball 'B' Championships 2010

Ireland will be participating in the European Blackball 'B' Championships 2010, which is taking place in Rhyl, Wales from October 6th - 11th 2010.

Congratulations to Brendan Price who beat Patrick O'Rourke in the final of the trails. The following top eight qualified for the B2 team. Team to be confirmed on the 20th August: Brendan Price, Patrick O'Rourke, Colm McEvoy, Keith Cahill, Sean O'Neill, Stephen Carvan, Martin Keogh and Anto Connaughton.

 

World Blackball Championships 2010

Ireland will be participating in the World Blackball Championships 2010, which is taking place in Limodge, France from November 8th - 13th 2010. The following are the Ireland A, Seniors and Under 23 teams that Martin Kirwan Announced in early June.

Ireland Inter-County Championships 2010

The Irish Blackball Association are proud to announce that the dates for the Irish Inter-County Championships, being held in the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney, County Kerry, have been confirmed for the 19th - 21st of November 2010. Sponsored by Superleague Ireland Limited, and currently in discussion with Eurosport recording coverage, the prize fund is €12,000.  The event will consist of a total of 30 tables and will comprise of a 5 a side, open singles, ladies single, under 18s, under 23s and senior event.  This is sure to be the biggest pool event ever held in Ireland.  For more information on dress code, guidlines and travel information, click here. Local Tournaments

The PoolKnightShack has now changed venue to the Richmond Road. This venue is now to open, breaking the way to various new competitions. Competitions include a new Blackball 3Man Team Event and a 9 ball league.

Brian Gargan Annual Memorial Tournament (Winner: Graham Baitson)

Each year, Gavin Cleary runs a memorial tournament for Brian Gargan, a good friend of many pool players who sadly passed away a few years ago. The competition is run out of Liffey Gaels club in Ballyfermot, in memory to Brian and his family. The entrance fee is €50 and the first round is played as a round robin group stage. This years tournament is down to the last 16 stage which will be played this week. This years tournament was won by Graham Baitson who beat Glenn Hannigan 10-6 in the final, which was held in the Kettles Hotel at the 4th event of the Irish Tour. The following is the line up and results from the last 16 up until the final.

Catalonia Pool Festival 2010
