World Pool Masters 2010

Ireland will be participating in the World Pool Masters which is taking place in Bridlington, April 25th-30th, 2010.  More information on the Ireland team will be presented here shortly.

Ireland Inter-County Championships 2010

The Irish Blackball Association are proud to announce that the dates for the Irish Inter-County Championships, being held in the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney, County Kerry, have been confirmed for the 19th - 21st of November 2010. Sponsored by Superleague Ireland Limited, the prize fund is €10,000.  The event will consist of a total of 30 tables and will comprise of a 5 a side, open singles, ladies single, under 18s, under 23s and senior event.  This is sure to be the biggest pool event ever held in Ireland and will be televised on Eurosport.  For more information on dress code, guidlines and travel information, click here. Irish Pool Association All-Ireland Scotch Doubles Championships 2010
 
Dates and venues for the final 4 qualifiers of the inaugural All-Ireland Scotch Doubles championships have been announced. There will be 8 qualifiers in total around the country with the winners of each qualifier progressing to the Grand finals which will be held in the Castle Arch Hotel in Trim on Saturday 6th March when the final IPA ranking tournament will be taking place.

The date and venue for the last qualifier is as follows:
Sunday 28th February        Castle Arch Hotel, Trim

The winners of the first 4 qualifiers are as follows:
Stephen Demsey and Johnathan Friel
Patrick Farrelly and Anthony Blacoe
Barry Dempsey and John Slattery
Daryl Beattie and Emmet Maguire

There is guaranteed €1,000 for the overall winners as well as the coveted title of Irish Doubles Champions and €500 for the runners up. Entry fee is €50 per team. A team may consist of only 1 International or County player per team making the competition wide open. To enter or for more details on these qualifiers contact John McMahon on 086-8211302.

Any profits made will go towards Stephen Dempsey’s participation on the UK tour in 2010.

Slaughtered Lamb 7-Man Championships 2010

The Slaughtered Lamb Pub, Swords are hosting a brand new 7-man pool competition starting February 8th 2010.  The entry fee is €80 per team with prize money of €5000. Application forms can be downloaded from the website www.theslaughteredlamb.com or you can get them fom the Slaughtered Lamb pool room which is open from 3pm till late Monday-Sunday!!!

Catalonia Pool Festival 2010

www.cataloniapoolfestival.com , will be held in Tarragona next march from 20th to 26th, departing on 27th. This festival is a mixing of blackball competitions, holiday and party, you choose your best proportion. The incredible rate includes accommodation n apartment, a good breakfast, lunch and dinner served in buffet, 14 new free play Simply Pool tables, ready to be burned per 299€ the all week. Only 2 minutes walking to the Tarragonas nicest beach and some optional visits like a wine tasting trip, a day in Port Aventura, carting, quads, golf, a trip to Camp Nou in Barcelona to watch alive...
